Hi everyone and welcome to my photography blog! In this blog I will add many photographs that I have taken and will take over time. I take photos of just about anything that seems relevant. I will also add a caption below each image describing the photo. Most of my photographs will be taken with an Olympus e-P1 as that is my primary camera for the moment. It takes great pictures with high resolution! I also have a flickr account as well. You can view some of the images that I have posted on there. They're not all that great because most of them were taken with a different camera. I did have a cheap Kodak Easyshare which worked well but the images were obviously not very clear and some were blurry.

Do to Bloggers set up, I will not be able to post things in a chronological fashion so after these first two posts, everything will be in order from newest to oldest. Please use the archive list on the right side of the page to find my older blog posts.

Anyway, here I am on rope getting ready to repel into a cave with a 60 foot free hanging drop below. Yep, im a caver in my spare time : )

This image was taken by my loving fiancee Holly Rexrode. The cave is located on Siple Mountain in Pendleton County, West Virginia. It's a pretty awesome cave because it has a 60 foot free hang repel for an entry pit and then another 45 foot pit afterwards. This was one of my first vertical caves and it was also where I found my first virgin cave. The once virgin part of this cave floods frequently because the passage is located right at the water table and can only be entered during the dry season. There is more virgin cave beyond what I have found because I can see it. I just havent caught the cave dry enough to permit entry into this virgin section. I will have to bring a hammer and chisel along with me because i'll need to widen an area to get through that passage. There are numerous sinkholes that have not collapsed as of yet and I believe this cave continues underneath them and probably beyond. The virgin section continues in the direction of these sinkholes so, I have good reason to believe it's possible. I'll be taking another trip into this cave next weekend, so we may get into some virgin cave!
